Double opt-in for email verification

Any sign-up for a free course or lead magnet would first get an email with a verification link, and only upon clicking this link the email would be verified and have access to a free course or lead magnet.
This is not legally required but it helps filter out fake email addresses. And since many folks are convinced that it's required by GDPR, it adds seriousness to our site.

I think this is essential for ANYONE subscribing or buying. For buyers this ensures they don't have a typo in the address and are locked out of actually accessing their course.

Scott Sturgis For a buyer a solution could be to have them type their email address twice. But for a free course for example, a confirmation process would help to get only people who are seriously interested in the content, and it would also prevent abuse of people who try to sign up with another person's address.

Eddi true but we still need double optin for courses, newsletters and other email communcations with leads.
