Custom Roles

Ability to create a custom role with a list of permissions and assign it to someone.
Note:We will not be changing existing roles as lot of people are using them and they may not need any changes to current roles, instead we will look at Custom Role to implement in the correct way.

This is very cool. Thank you for reviewing.

Amazing news! If this can also include a curated dashboard to certain courses and access to only their designated payment plans/courses this would be great.
For example at the moment an Instructor of 4 courses can see the whole sites dashboard/courses/payment plans and apply a coupon to any payment plan

New teacher user role
Hari Om
The user roles in Zenler are not fit-for-purpose for a school where the course content creators are different from teachers who just teach the courses. The people in the teaching job roles may not be the right people for creating/updating, pricing, and publishing a course. Suppose a school hires some part-time or temporary staff teachers for teaching only then it would be too risky to give an Instructor role to them. Currently, the Instructor role is able to edit, price, and publish the course. It would be great if this suggestion is given a serious look so that bigger schools can make better use of Zenler.
Another small suggestion would be to add a class type of feature in Zenler that will include a set of courses, a set of students, a set of teachers(not course creators), and a published calendar of the course teaching sessions all bundled together.
Things are a bit clunky at the moment for such a very common scenario for a school. It seems like the Zenler platform is primarily designed for course sellers rather than a classroom-style teacher-student setup also.

Limit Instructor Roles & Access
MENDS
As I have multiple Facilitators/Instructors, I would like it so the instructors are not able to see sales pages or to be able to edit content. This is extremely risky that they can edit the course curriculum. I'm finding my facilitators/instructors find it confusing seeing the course in an editable mode so ideally instructors should only be able to view the course as a student does. This way I can have multiple facilitators delivering my course/s. Also, the instructors still need to have the ability to start the live sessions and run them. Instructors should also have the ability to check student progress and pull suvery responses etc. Can this please be reviewed as a matter of priority? It's extremely risky having instructors being able to delete content, change content, not see the course as the student does, and to not see the surveys and assignments etc as a student does. This is also risking our IP. I'm sure changing the access levels for an instructor can't be that complicated. This has been requested by many people now and described in different ways, but those of us using multiple facilitators to run programs are all sharing the same concerns.

GDPR compliancy - Breaking European law - Assistant Roles can see my contacts and copy them
Carolina
Hello,
I want to give access to my Zenler for experts on Fiverr and Upwork etc, to create funnels or broadcasts for me. I want to prevent these experts from ‘scraping’ my contact list and then sell the details of my audience (which is a very profitable side hustle, and happens a LOT).
I AM BREAKING THE LAW.
It also has - severe - GDPR consequences, as you ask people to for GDPR consent, and need to I specifically tell people that I won't use their data (I'm an LLC in Europe) and I am not allowed to use it, but I can't control who can access their data and I can't guarantee that their information stays within my company and is not copied.
For my company to be legally compliant with the GDPR Laws, I will have to be able to give an Assistant, or Freelancer, access without them being able to see any of the data of the clients.
If there would be a "Freelancer" role without People Management, without community management, and without Lives, that would cover us for GDPR.
Because that would create a clean split between the Freelancer and everyone in my audience, they would never be able to see their name or data.
Thank you kindly,
Carolina.
PS: Not sure who of Zenler adjusted my message here without letting me know, or who changed the title, but I don't appreciate it. It's very unethical to adjust my words and pretend they are mine.
The breaking the law part is important and true, so it needs to be mentioned in this post. Please leave it in.

Great point about the Intellectual Property!

Yes this needs to be bumped up in priority
